How to measure the space for your new furniture
The dimensions published on our website are the overall size that the piece of furniture will be once manufactured.
The width is from the outside of the arm all the way to the outside of the other arm.
The depth is from the back of the frame to the front of the sofa. (This is quite often the front of the seat cushion as our seat cushions standardly have a slight overhang, so when you sit down you do not feel the frame on the back of your legs).
The height is from the floor to the highest point of the piece of furniture. We have ranges where the back is shaped and not straight. The height given will be at the point where it is at its tallest.
The easiest way to work out the best size piece of furniture for your room is to either use masking tape or newspaper/cardboard to lay it out on your floor. This enables you to work out the overall space it will take and allows you to walk around your room to ensure it does not feel overpowering and dominate the room.
When measuring your space please ensure you take into account skirting boards, radiators and doors to ensure when it is manufactured it fits where you want it to be placed.
